CAMBRIDGE — Now that the Morning and Afternoon Exercises at Harvard's annual Commencement Festival have been concluded, the secret behind Oprah Winfrey's brilliant address can now be told.
Although the Maven of the Medium of Television's superb 29 minute speech will go down in history as one of the best speeches of the 21st-century, she didn't write it.
It was written by a solitary reporter, who yelled out his approval, interrupting the speaker numerous times, to the point of having to be ejected by the burly Securitas bouncers.
Oprah's publicist reluctantly conceded that the megastar's address was ghostwritten, “but it was still a really cool speech.”
