The seventh GOP presidential wannabe has spoken.
Earlier today, in Cabot, Pennsylvania, former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, in a 40 minute speech, announced his second presidential bid and vowed to abolish the IRS and to institute a flat tax.
But he got immediate pushback from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, whose Lone Star State, often awash with oil money, is now deluged and flooded. “If there is no IRS,” Abbott pondered out loud in the presence of a solitary reporter, “and thus no revenue, there’s no way we fervent Texans can recover from these floods.”
Santorum told Abbott to take up the matter with his junior senator, Tea Party presidential candidate Ted Cruz.
