GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA – Much has been written on Politico and other sites about the controversy occasioned by the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and the resulting vacancy on the Court. But the mainstream media have failed to report on how Donald Trump wants President Obama to deal with that, so a solitary reporter has to do it.
Trump has a thin skin, and he does not like it when Ted Cruz in particular goes after him.
Immediately after the debate here was concluded, Trump told the solitary reporter that President Obama must nominate Cruz to succeed Scalia on the Supreme Court. “That way,” Trump explained, “I get rid of him as an opponent, and Ted gets to continue what Scalia started. Ted is even more rigid than Scalia, so the Tea Party will love that."
