CAIRO — This presidential election year is like none other.
On Saturday, Colorado Republicans, at their State Convention, gave all 34 of their delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland to the junior senator from Texas. Miffed, Donald Trump’s national spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, speaking on MSNBC, called the Colorado GOP’s caucus process “a pyramid scheme” designed for no other purpose than to deny Trump the presidency (http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/04/trump-colorado-convention-pyramid-scheme-221883).
Intrigued by this development, a solitary reporter traveled to Egypt to learn more about pyramids. There, he spotted none other than RNC Chairman Reince Priebus building a pyramid to entomb Trump. “You see, SR,” Priebus explained, “I’m supposed to follow the rules of my party, but this year I really don’t want to. Once Trump gets the nomination, our operatives are going to capture him and bring him here, for his final resting place. Tourists will spend millions to see it, and we can use the income from that to rebuild the GOP so Paul Ryan can run against Hillary in 2020 and win a resounding victory.”
In Cairo, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi told our associate solitary reporter, John Jones, that he has no objection to Priebus building a Trump pyramid as long as there is no casino associated with it and as long as the US government agrees to maintain it.
