DAVENPORT, IOWA — At a rally here yesterday, the GOP’s number one entertainer, Donald Trump, said that while hearing speeches at the Democratic National Convention this week, he wanted to “hit a number of those speakers so hard, their heads would spin… they’d never recover...I was going to hit one guy in particular, a very little guy."
When reporters from CNN asked the Trump campaign to identify the one little guy, the campaign wouldn’t respond.
On Wednesday in Philadelphia, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is diminutive in stature, gave a rousing speech endorsing Hillary Clinton, calling Trump “a dangerous demagogue.”
A spokesman for Bloomberg told a solitary reporter that the former mayor’s security detail has been “substantially increased."
