In Friday’s Politico, Emily Goldberg delved into the spat between Donald Trump and Time Magazine (https://www.politico.com/story/2017/11/24/trump-time-magazine-person-of-the-year-259614).
CNN’s Editor-at-Large, Chris Cillizza, weighed in on this too: http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/25/politics/donald-trump-time-magazine/index.html.
Trump, who does nothing every day in his Oval Office but tweet, loves combat almost as much as he loves chaos.
If a person or organization has not been lambasted by tweets from Trump, that must mean that they are inconsequential in his view — either that, or under the radar.
Now it’s Time Magazine.
Trump was named Time’s 2016 Person of the Year, one month after he won an election that he wasn’t supposed to win.
Now he’s p____d that he wasn’t picked this year.
Goldberg’s article, “Time says Trump is ‘incorrect’ after president says he rejected Person of the Year overture,” says it all.
Enter associate solitary reporter Johanna Jones. First thing Trump said to Jones this morning was, “Failing Time Magazine should pay me for all the free publicity I’ve given them.”
Time’s Editor-in-Chief, Edward Felsenthal, immediately cancelled Trump’s free subscription, but he did sign up as a subscriber to this apocryphal newspaper.
