At three am today, our Chief Moscow Correspondent, associate solitary reporter Foma Kheroshonsky, a professional insomniac, confronted Vladimir Putin, a notorious night owl.
“Vlad,” Kheroshonsky began, “You sent your thugs to take your former buddy Yevgeny Prigozhin to Lukashenko’s worst prison, right?”
Kheroshonsky is grossly overweight, as he weighs 275 pounds, and he has no filters, which means that he says and does whatever is on his mind.
Kheroshonsky demanded that Putin announce exactly where in Minsk Prigozhin is being held, whether it is a mental hospital, a gulag on the Soviet model, as the chief historian of Belarus, or what.
Putin told Kheroshonsky that it is completely up to Lukashenko to decide where to put Prigozhin, but that Belarus, being a vassal nation, is expected to bring in millions of dollars to several of
Putin’s cash cows to pay Putin’s bills that he has incurred with his disastrous Ukraine war.
Putin made it very clear to Kheroshonsky that when Prigozhin’s Wagner Group regroups in Belarus, that they will answer only to Russia’s Minister of War, Gen. Sergei Shoigu, and not to anyone
connected with Wagner.
